Happenings Events Awards

Each one of the Chatila Publishing House (CPH) publications has a newsroom, a space dedicated to keeping our dear readers posted with the latest happenings, events, and awards of direct relevance to the magazine and the corporation.

The first slice of news, 'Happenings,' is a scrumptious dip into what goes on within the corporate cadre. This encompasses new appointments, those who found their way up the corporate ladder, new products on the menu, etc. The second piece, branded 'Events,' tracks where Arab Construction World (ACW) has been, i.e. where the road has taken team members (Time Out) and the events and expos that the magazine has participated in. Third to glimmer is the 'Awards' section; this covers the awards that ACW receives from other parties acknowledging its achievements and accomplishments.

Middle East Emerging as World Leader in Sustainable City Development

As the concept of Sustainable City Development gains momentum throughout the Middle East, an increasing majority of property developers are 'going green' as they comprehend the environmental, social and economic benefits associated with the initiative. CMT’s Sustainable City Development conference tracked this emerging trend in the Middle East, and showcased the latest technologies and innovations in Sustainable City Development and Green Building and Construction around the world.

The conference as held in Abu Dhabi, home to Masdar City, the most ambitious sustainable city development in the world today. When completed, it will be the world's first zero-carbon, zero-waste city, powered entirely by renewable energy sources.

The Sustainable City Development conference also spotlighted Qatar’s iconic “Energy City”, the Gulf's first hydrocarbon industry business cluster, which is living up to its 'inspired by nature' axiom by incorporating a myriad of 'green building' practices into its operations designed to benefit both developers and residents.

Arab Construction World (ACW) magazine was present at the event where bonus copies of its January and February issues were distributed to exhibitors and visitors.
